KASUR-Police claimed to have arrested two dacoits who were responsible for a dacoity at the house of a trader here the other day.

Bashir Ahmed Rehmani told Ellahabad police on January 29, 2017 that he owned an agency of oil, rice and sugar on Kasur Road. He said that on Jan 28, two dacoits entered the agency, held the staff hostage at gunpoint and made off with cash, gold jewellery and cellphones worth Rs2.2 million.

Police registered a case and formed a special team for arrest of the culprits. The team arrested the culprits identified as Nazakat and Faryad from Lahore; recovered the money and valuables they had looted and handed over to the owner.

Policemen must be ready to cope with any emergency. Being the law enforcers, they shouldn't sit idle and be indifferent to their duty. It was stated by Kasur DPO Zulfiqar Ahmed during an address to a training session organised for policemen at District Police Lines here the other day.

The DPO also visited Mandi Usman Wala police station. He reviewed cops performance and law and order situation.

He also ordered the police officers to launch a vigorous crackdown on criminals, especially the proclaimed offenders wanted in cases of heinous crime.
