MULTAN - PPP South Punjab secretary information Shaukat Basra has claimed that the Multan public meeting will prove to be "the last nail in the coffin of killers" as Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will give final call for war against Sharif Mafia.

Addressing a news conference here at Multan Press Club on Monday, he said that this time long march would be directed towards Raiwind and not Islamabad. "The Sharif government might end even before elections. Only Sharifs and Khawajgan will remain in the party," he claimed.

He claimed that a number of people including ministers in current government and those who quit PPP would join the party before elections. He said that he could confidently declare that the Sharif mafia, blasphemers and Panama thieves would not remain in power after Multan public meeting of PPP. He said that the Sharif mafia was a live threat for the country, nation, judiciary, army and democratic system.

He said that former president Asif Ali Zardari had declared during meeting with Dr Tahirul Qadri that he stood with him. He maintained that all signs led towards Qatil-e-Aala and his ministers after the report of Baqir Najfi commission. He warned that the PPP would not refrain from resigning from the assemblies, staging a sit in or launching long march if Shahba Sharif and his minister Rana Sanaullah declined to resign in the wake of Justice Najfi report.

He disclosed that political activities would begin at Bilawal House Multan by the month of January and Bilawal Bhutto would stay at South Punjab permanently. Answering a question, he said that the PPP played role for protecting democracy and not Nawaz Sharif. He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif failed to act upon Charter of Democracy.

He lamented that on one hand the names of former prime ministers Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani and Raja Parvez Ashraf were on ECL and their accounts hand been frozen by the NAB while on the other hand Chairman NAB refrained from putting the names of Sharif family on ECL. "The Chairman NAB should answer as to why this dual standard is being practised?" he raised a question. He said that proclaimed offender finance minister fled after looting the country but no action was taken against him.

He pointed out that the PML-N had majority in national and provincial assemblies but it did not constituted separate provinces. He declared that the PPP would launch movement for Saraiki province and Bilawal Bhutto would unveil a revolutionary manifesto in Multan.
