OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - A 25-year-old man was killed allegedly by his rivals over old enmity at Qazi Park in Shahdra Town police area in the wee hours of Monday. The deceased was identified as Farhan Nasim, son of Naseem Ilahi and a resident of Qazi Park. Police said that Farhan was sitting in his drawing room along with his father, a brother and a friend, when four armed men stormed into the house. The armed men targeted the victim and opened fire on his temple as a result of which the victim died on the spot, police investigators said, adding a heavy police contingents reached the spot and removed the body to the City morgue for autopsy. A case was lodged against four persons including Zulfiqar, Tariq, Nazakat and one unidentified on the complaint of deceaseds father Naseem Ilahi. Investigation Wing, however, believed both families had been running an old enmity from the last several years over property dispute. Police officers said that Farhans family had killed a man namely Sharafat in 2005 and deceased along with his brother Mitho were nominated in that case. He added that Farhan was freed from jail some six months back after completing his sentence of five years.
