OUR STAFF REPORTER KARACHI - National Bank of Pakistan were declared winner after its rival Pakistan Army refused to play the scheduled Premier Football League match here on Monday at the KPT stadium due to law and order problem in the vicinity of the venue. A football official on query said that the Pakistan Army reached the venue in time but as there was sound of gun fire in the near bye area the soldiers did not take the field and preferred to give the match to the NBP which was declared by 3-0 margin that gave them three winning points. The second match of the league between Pakistan Navy and PIA started late as the Pakistan Navy caught in a traffic jam and reached the match venue at Peoples Stadium. The result of the match could not be known as the mobile phones of the officials supervising the match were not responding to the calls.
