KARACHI - The parliamentary party of ruling PPP on Monday decided to make legislation on important issues, which was not taken earlier due to MQMs reservations. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, PPP Sindh Parliamentary Leader Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq, Senior Minister for Works and Services Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani, Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wassan, Law Minister Muhammad Ayaz Soomro and most of party MPAs attended the meeting held at the CM House. The meeting discussed the strategy for the upcoming session of Sindh Assembly, which would start on Wednesday (tomorrow) with Deputy Speaker Ms Shehla Raza in the chair. The PPP government will face the first time tough opposition as MQMs 51 members will sit on opposition benches in the assembly. Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah while conveying the message of President Asif Ali Zardari to the party MPAs instructed them to ensure their attendance in the assembly session as party would face tough argument and voting on resolution and legislation in the house. The PPPs parliamentary party also decided to table the items for legislation, which had earlier been deferred due to reservation raised by the former ally, MQM. Meanwhile, MQM is also prepared to give tough time to the ruling PPP in the Sindh Assembly session.
