ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) demanded the federal government to take action against the culprits mentioned by the Rangers Director General (DG) behind organised crime and reveal the names of the ministers included in the list today.

These demands were put forth by PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi while talking to journalists outside the Parliament House. He said that the government needs to indiscriminately nab the miscreants behind the organised crime in Sindh. The PTI leader termed the revelations of Rangers authorities crucial in bringing peace and stability in the country.

“If PTI members are included in the list then the federal government must start the probe with them,” he added and said that the Rangers DG informed the entire nation on Thursday about the situation in Karachi.

Qureshi said that the entire nation gave a unanimous mandate to the ruling party against terrorism. “Now it is time to see what the government does in this regard,”  he added.

Qureshi said that according to the report, religious and political parties both use these funds. He said that DG Bilal Akbar gave Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah a list bearing at least 24 names which include provincial ministers also. The PTI vice-chairman said that the opposition party does not want political revenge but demands for action to be taken against crimes and the people who run illegal activities. He said that such funding is used for terrorism and peace could not prevail until there is a halt to it.
