KARACHI (Online) - President Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE) Khusnood Ali Khan and Secretary General Aamir Mahmood Monday strongly condemned the killing of a journalist, Ghulam Rasool, of daily Sindhu. In a statement, they have also demanded the government to ensure the safety of journalists lives in interior Sindh and other areas, and also stressed on a result-oriented investigation of the heinous crime. Castigating the insecure environment in which journalists are working, they berated the fact that no action had been taken over the issue so far. They said the govt must come forward to provide security to the journalists who were performing their duties under continuous threat.
