ISLAMABAD (Online)-Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has sacked Chairman of Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation Amjad Warriach. The PM replacing Lt Gen (retd) Farooq Ahmed has also appointed Lt Gen (retd) Nadeem Ahmed as new Chairman of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). As per details, Ahmed Warriach was appointed Chairman of Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation during the tenure of former President Pervez Musharraf on political grounds. Due to his uncalled and unnecessary interference the affairs of the corporation were getting complicated. Ahmed Warriach was exceeding his authority and used to interfere in the matters of MD due to this PM sacked him. On the other hand, PM issuing orders of removal of NDMA Chairman has deputed Deputy Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Nadeem Ahmed as new Chairman of National Disaster Management Authority. Notifications in this regard have been issued.
