KARACHI - Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Tameer Microfinance Bank have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for online connectivity of all Tameer Banks outlets. Tameer, a microfinance bank, rated A-, A-2 by JCRVIS, and a pioneer of branchless banking in Pakistan joined hands with Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), Pakistans largest national telecom solution provider, to deploy state-of-the-art network infrastructure across the country. PTCL has become a prime technology partner of Tameer Microfinance Bank and will provide maximum benefits through its corporate products and solutions when and where required. PTCL will provide enterprise-wide network connectivity to all Tameer Microfinance Banks outlets. Commenting on this auspicious occasion, Tameer Banks President Nadeem Hussain said Tameer distinguishes itself from other microfinance banks by being one of the first nationwide private sector, non NGO transformed, commercially sustainable microfinance institutions in Pakistan.
