LAHORE - Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal on Thursday urged parliamentarians, politicians, judges, army men and media persons to get united to pull the country out of the current quagmire of problems. Addressing students of Superior Law College in assembly champers on Thursday, Rana said country was passing through a critical phase and it was need of the hour that all sections of society should prefer national interest over personal gains. Principal Superior College, Aatir Rizvi led the delegation. Rana supported the idea of a uniform system of education, saying it will have to be introduced to end disparity between the rich and the poor. He said government was already working on a plan to address the issue. Rana Iqbal believed that upgradation of educational institutions and implementation of other policies will bring about revolutionary changes in the education sector. He said government was aware of its responsibilities in this regard.
