LAHORE The Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel apprehended an American national from Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore for carrying cartridges while he was ready to fly to Dubai through a PIA flight. Sources close to the investigators said 70-year-old Garry William, principal of a missionary school in Sahiwal, was caught during routine security check at around 7am, as 30 cartridges of 12-bore were recovered from his luggage. Later, he was shifted to Sarwar Road Police Station where an FIR (175) has been lodged against him under Section 13, 20/65 at 11:40am. The police sources claimed that his involvement in acts of terrorism could not be ruled out. However, other sources say Garry was carrying the cartridges to Dubai for his son as a gift. Further investigation is underway.
