SADIQABAD - Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is likely to contest from NA-197 in the next general elections, said local PPP leader Mir Fazal Elahi.

Talking to the media, he said that the PPP still has deep roots in Sadiqabad and the party workers will spare no effort to make their leader successful if he decides to contest election from NA-197.

“If national-level politicians start contesting elections from different provinces, it will be helpful in creating brotherhood among the masses and result in the elimination of provincialism,” he pointed out.

TMA COMMITTED TO FACILITATING CITIZENS

The Tehsil Municipal Administration has been utilising all available resources to provide basic facilities to the residents at their doorsteps.

Assistant Commissioner Abbas Raza Nasir stated while talking to Sadqiabad Press Club President Rana Arshad Javed and Farhan Iqbal Ch here the other day.

On the occasion, he said that the administration has taken effective steps for uplift and renovation of Sadiqabad for making it a model city. He informed that a vigorous crackdown has been launched to remove encroachments from all roads of the city to let traffic move in a smooth way. All main chowks of the city have also been widened to avoid traffic mess, the AC said, adding that renovation of the public parks have also been started to provide better recreational facilities to the public. “The TMA officials have been directed to make operational all streetlights on the city roads to avoid accidents and robberies,” the AC informed, adding the TMA has also established a complaint cell in the tehsil council where the citizens can submit their complaints.

“Serving public in a better way is an obligation of any administration and the TMA officials will continue to performing this noble duty with religious fervour,” the AC pledged.
