ISLAMABAD- Cyber Crime Circle Rawalpindi of Federal Intelligence Agency has arrested a cyber swindler, who was involved in cyber fraud through a business website. Wendel Jackson, a US citizen and a resident of Jamaica lodged complaint with concerned authorities regarding online fraud in which North Star Company of Pakistan, deprived him of 12, 500 US Dollar on the pretext of supplying used vehicles through its website www.north-starco.com. The immediate inquiry was initiated and during the inquiry it was revealed that Xavier William, resident of Rawalpindi had set up a website with the domain name and a business name North Star Company to offer used motor vehicles. The website was hosted in United States and it proclaimed to be a reputable Japanese company, which deals in used motor vehicles business. The vehicles for sales offered on this website contain all expensive vehicles brands including Audi, Bentley, BMW, Chrysler, Jaguar, Lamborghini, etc. Xavier used to reduce orders through this website and direct the advance payment against the orders in the company account, opened in the name of his father Patras William at Habib Bank, SDV, Mall Road Branch, Rawalpindi. During inquiry, when Xavier was not able to provide proof of delivering any vehicle to any of his customer even though he received heavy amount in his company bank account for seven time, the case was register against him and he was arrested. Xavier William admitted receiving 12,500 US dollars on the pretext of delivering vehicle ordered by Wendel Jackson, the complaint. The culprit was remanded three-day judicial remand. Further investigations are under way and the involvement of his father in the fraud is also being investigated.
