LAHORE - Trade union leader Khursheed Ahmad Khan said that the state should ensure the free and quality education to each child without discrimination.

Addressing diploma students Bakhtiar Labour Hall, he said the government spent the lowest resources about 2.5pc of the GDP for education in Asia. That is the reason Pakistan has lowest literacy rate in the world.

He said that the education has become an industry denying the children of the poor segments of the society to have access for meaningful education.

He said that the labor movement would continue to make concerted struggle to establish an egalitarian society ensuring free education to all.

The Lesco officers also addressed.
