LAHORE - Addressing the NPT BoGs, TheNation Editor-in-Chief Dr Majid Nizami said that they wanted to make Pakistan a modern, Islamic and democratic welfare state according to the thoughts of Quaid-i-Azam, Allama Iqbal and Fatima Jinnah.

He stressed the need for continuing the mission of spreading awareness among the people and especially the youth about Pakistan Ideology.

 He also stressed the need to make Pakistan according to the vision of Quaid-i-Azam. He said that the Trust has conducted 75 training workshops. He condemned the Bangladesh government upon pronouncing punishments to the Jamaat-i-Islami leaders.

Rafique Tarrar said that he worked for Pakistan Movement on the MSF platform and served in the refugee camp at Gujranwala. He lauded the role of Dr Majid Nizami for disseminating two nation ideologies.

Syed Ghous Ali Shah said the federal government would have to help reduce the problems of the people of Karachi.

Begum Majeeda Wyne said that disgraceful programs on media outlets must be banned.  Pir Kabir Ali Shah said that the religious scholars participated in the Pakistan Movement and made the movement a spiritual one. Syed Fasih Iqbal said that Dr Majid Nizami was a shining star of journalism in the subcontinent. He said that Balochistan had patriotic people like other parts of country. Col Jamshed Ahmad Tareen praised Pakistan Army’s role during 1971war. He criticized the Chairman Kashmir Committee whose forefathers were against creation of Pakistan.

Other speakers, including Zulfiqar Ali Khan, Naeem Hussain Chattha, Mian Mehboob Ahmad, Waleed Iqbal, former Justice Munir Ahmad Mughal also stressed that awareness about Nazaria-i-Pakistan should be disseminated to the new generation. They said the workers of different political parties should visit NPT to have awareness about ideology of Pakistan.
