LAHORE: Punjab Rangers on Friday claimed to have seized 96 bottles of liquor, being smuggled into Pakistan from Indian side.

A Rangers spokesman said that Jawans were performing duty at Wagha Sector Border when they witnessed some movement. As the Rangers personnel tried to engage the intruders, they escaped to India taking advantage of the darkness, leaving behind their belongings on this side of border.

“96 bottles of Indian liquor have recovered from their baggage,” the spokesperson added. He further said that DG Maj Gen Khan Tahir Javed Khan had appreciated the achievement of Rangers Jawans.–Staff Reporter
