LAHORE - University of Education Vice Chancellor Dr Faizul Hassan has said that revolutionary steps are needed for the betterment of education sector.

“Education and research is only a scale to measure progress and sovereignty of any other country in the world,” the VC said while addressing a training workshop on quality assurance conducted by Quality Enhancement Cell on Friday.

More than 50 nominated teachers of all UoE campuses, divisions and other related persons of different departments participated in the workshop.

The VC further said that there were more chances of development and progress after enhancing the quality of educational programs according to modern curriculum needs.

QEC Director Dr Mansha briefed the participants about the needs and importance of self-assessment methods, techniques for educational courses being taught by the university.

Lecturer Zuneera also addressed the workshop and highlighted newly used quality promotion methods and strategies to participants for enhancing program’s quality.

Division of Science & Technology Director Dr Rana AbrarHussain, Director Research Dr Mubasher Nadeem, Township Campus Principal Prof Asmatullah Cheema and Okara Campus Principal Dr Khalid Saleem were also present on the occasion.

PLAY ON SOCIAL DILEMMA: Swaang, the dramatic club of UoE Lower Mall Campus will present a play entitled “Salma Nay Bhi Yehi Kia Tha” on 13th and 14thDecember at Bank Road Campus’ auditorium.

Club advisor Dr Salman Bhatti and Fine Arts student Mehk Jabeen are the producers, while varsity’s student Arooj Hussain is performing central role in the play.

The play relates to a social dilemma in which psychological problems of women are being highlighted in mocking tone.
