LAHORE - Islamabad women outlasted Faisalabad women by eight wickets in the Malala 1st U-21 National Women’s Cricket Championship 2014 first match played here at Lahore Country Club Ground A, Muridke on Friday. Faisalabad, batting first, could manage to score 63-9 in 20 overs. Ansa Irshad made 14 and Farwa Batool 13. Diana Baig clinched 5-9 and Anoshay Malik took 2-11. In reply, Islamabad achieved the target in 15.3 overs. Fazila Ikhlaq slammed unbeaten 36. Diana Baig was player of the match. In the second match of the day, Lahore thrashed Peshawar by nine wickets.
