Pakistan Azerbaijan Media Forum (PAMF) organized a seminar on Kashmir & Khojaly Genocide in connection with the theme “Human Rights Day 365” on the eve of International Human Rights Day at the Baidari-e-Fiker Forum here.

Former Federal Minister Kashmir Affairs Lt. Gen. (R) Faiz Ali Chishti, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that the human rights abuses have been a part of a campaign by the Indian army against Muslim Kashmiri particularly since 1990.

The abuse is manifested in the following types of violations: disappearances, torture and the rape and molestation of Muslim women. India as per her track record, is once again staging a fake cross Loc infiltration drama to implicate Pakistan.

Despite India’s repressive measures, Kashmiri movement for self determination cannot be suppressed, he said.

Former Secretary General Foreign Affairs Akram Zaki said that Pakistan, being a legitimate party to the dispute by virtue of the partition plan and UN resolutions, has right to support the cause of the right of self-determination of Kashmiri.

India claims to be the world’s largest democracy, but this claims has repeatedly been proven fake by the international media including its own opinion makers, he said.

Dr Murtaza Mughal, Chairman Writers Unity Pakistan, said that several international agencies and UN have reported human rights violations in Indian-administered Kashmir.

He urged the international community to play its due role in the resolution of Kashmir under the UN resolutions and according to the wishes of the Kashmiris.
