LAHORE : SkillTech International Karachi, a subsidiary of TUSDEC (Technology Upgradation & Skill Development Company) has successfully initiated the training programme in the domain of Electrical and Electronics Engineering for a pool of 100 students selected from the rural backdrop of Punjab. The trainings are funded by the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF), says a TUSDEC spokesperson here on Tuesday. There is a huge requirement of technically adept manpower globally but the lack of internationally recognized skill qualifications impedes the progression of Pakistani workforce on the global sphere.

TUSDEC realized this hindrance and established SkillTech Internationalto improve the skill profile of Pakistani workforce by providing them internationally acknowledged qualifications for a level playing field to compete globally for better job prospects.

TUSDEC was the first City & Guilds UK approved center in Pakistan and prepared students for City & Guilds UK and EC UK certificates and awards. The company spokesperson shared that the center is providing a unique opportunity for professional development in a flexible manner with the added benefit of international recognition and this association with PSDF would expand the horizon of internationally recognized qualifications in rural peripheries for a productive human capital to trigger the economic development.
