OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Pakistan ace tennis star Aisamul Haq Qureshi and his Indian partner Rohan Bopanna are one step away from winning their third ATP title of the season as they stormed into the final of the Paris Masters after edging past Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor, according to information made available here on Saturday. The seventh seed Pakistan-India pair eked out a 6-3, 7-6 (7) win in the semi-finals over the third seeded Belarusian-Canadian combination in one hour and 27 minutes. Aisam and Bopanna had won Gerry Weber Open at Halle and Stockholm Open early this season. They will now face the winner of the others semi-final between French pair of Julien Benneteau and Nicolas Mahut and Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico and Kas Christopher of Germany. Earlier, Aisamul and Bopanna shocked second-seeded Michael Llodra of France and Serbias Nenad Zimonzic in the super tie-break. The Pakistan-India pair, seeded seventh, celebrated their maiden entry into the tours year-ending finals in London, by rallying to win after losing the first set 3-6, 6-4, 10-6. The two other Indians in doubles play, fourth-seeded Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi were beaten in the second round, having received a bye in the first, in the super tiebreak 10-8. Paes and Bhupathi have also made it to the London Tour year-ender as one of the top pairs.
