ISLAMABAD (Online) - Pakistan has hailed Indian Supreme Courts notice about Pakistani nationals languishing in Indian jails without trial. Talking to BBC on Saturday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tehmina Janjua said during a meeting between Pakistani and the Indian foreign ministers held in July, it was decided to resolve the prisoners issue in both countries on immediate basis as a good will gesture. She said the list of Pakistani prisoners submitted in Indian Supreme Court by the petitioner is different from the list made by Pakistan. Answering to a query, she said even such persons were held in various Indian jails whose nationality was yet to be ascertained while action is taken after ascertaining nationality.
