Intelligences agencies on Wednesday arrested Taliban’s Karachi Ameer (chief) with four other terrorists of TTP during a raid in Quaid-abad area of Karachi, officials said.

Officials said, Shahab-uddin Shahab, Ameer of terror outfit in Karachi was among four other terrorists held by the forces during raid launched by intelligences agencies and paramilitary force.

The raid was conducted on the basis of intelligence information, recovering huge cache of explosive and a number of hand grenades.

The forces also recovered stolen Ambulance and four motorcycles.

The officials said that the suspects were planning an attack on Muharam Shia processions in Karachi. The detainees were shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.

Intelligences reports earlier warned that terrorists could use Ambulances for terror attacks on Shia processions.

Earlier on Wednesday morning three militants allegedly belonging to Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and one Rangers personnel were killed when a shootout occurred during a targeted operation conducted by the para-military force in Karachi's Gulshan-i-Buner area of Karachi.
