A bloody scuffle between two rival groups in Central Jail resulted in the death of a prisoner while two others injured here on Saturday.

As per details, two groups of addicts in a barrack of the jail started quarrelling which turned worst with the used bricks they threw at each other’s. Resultantly, Muhammad Mushtaq died on the spot due to head injury while two others sustained serious injuries. Meanwhile, the administration called in the police to cope with aggressive prisoners. The police launched an operation inside the jail and it took the police hours to calm down the situation. The injured were shifted to jail hospital while the deceased’s body was shifted to DHQ Hospital for autopsy. The Jail Superintendent claimed to have restored the law and order in the jail and vowed to bring the culprits to justice.
