ISLAMABAD - MQM may change its policy to support PML-N in and outside the parliament after Prime Minister's alleged cold response to its lawmakers in the parliament.

MQM members on the last day of 35th National Assembly session had gathered around the seat of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to seek time for registering their concerns regarding their party. The Prime Minister despite ostensibly refused this request, which may prompt them to change thier supporting behaviour with PML-N.

Sources said the MQM-Pakistan may change its strategy and support other opposition parties to give tough time to the government.

They said MQM will now start actively taking part in parliamentary committees soon after Eid ul Azha.

MQM, the sources said, may once again show interest about the Panama leaks controversy. It is to be noted here that the party had over a month before had distanced itself from the ToR committee meant to probe the Panama leaks.

Senior MQM member Khalid Maqbol has reportedly raised concerns about the missing members of their party.

“It is victimization, which needs to be stopped," he said after observing cold shoulder from the government side.
