PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health Shehram Tarakai on Sunday said that health campaign like ‘Sehat ka Insaf’ was need of the hour to control the increasing death rate of children below five years of age in the province.

He said this while inaugurating the eleventh phase of campaign “Sehat ka Insaf” at the Molvi Jee Hospital, Peshawar. Medical Superintendent of the hospital and other staff were also present on the occasion. He said that Sehat Ka Insaf campaign in fact a struggle started against the nine dangerous diseases.

The campaign will be continued till April 21, 2014.

Focal Person of Sehat Ka Insaf Programme Zaheer Younis said that it was the second last round of Sehat Ka Insaf Programme where 7,75,000 children would be vaccinated. She said that 2,200 volunteers of Tehrik Insaf would participate in the campaign.

He said that they also collected samples from Shaheen Muslim Town and Larama area, which have been declared polio negative. He maintained that foolproof security arrangements were made by the law enforcement agencies for successful conduct of the health campaign.
