Rawalpindi - Police found the dead body of a Chinese national from the room of a private hotel located at Committee Chowk, sources told The Nation on Thursday. “The Chinese national, who was identified as Noor Mitio Yousafai,45, probably died of cardiac arrest,” said a senior police officer.

Sources said that Noor Motio, a Chinese national and an auctioneer by profession, arrived in hotel Blue Sky from Karachi on August 12 at 1:45pm and rented a room number 101. In afternoon, they said, a man namely Muhammad Akbar visited him and spent sometime with him in his room. Later in the evening, the sources said Akbar made a phone call to Noor which he did not attend and then the caller rushed to the hotel and told the saga to the management.  “The man was lying dead on the floor in front of washroom when the man and hotel staffers entered the room,” they added. Upon calling, Waris Khan police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for autopsy.

Talking to The Nation, ASP Waris Khan Circle Behram Khan said that the Chinese national arrived from Karachi and was due to fly to China after one day stay in the hotel. He said that Chinese national informed the hotel management that he was feeling pain in his heart. “He may be died of cardiac arrest but the final conclusion will be made by doctors who are busy in carrying out postmortem,” he added.
