RAWALPINDI: COAS General Raheel Sharif today started off the proceedings of a fund-raising cricket match for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) by hitting a boundary off Pakistan T20 skipper, Shahid Afridi.

For the delivery, Major General Asim Bajwa acted as wicketkeeper at GHQ stadium, Rawalpindi. The Azadi Cup cricket match between the national and army teams, will be utilised to support IDPs. 

General Raheel Sharif and Major General Asim Bajwa also met with members of the national cricket team. Shahid Afridi, who led the army team, was up against Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq in the limited-overs game.
