Islamabad - Girls from pre-medical group bagged first three positions in intermediate examination, passing the exam with higher pass percentage as compared to boys.

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) announced the result of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part II Annual Examination 2015 held in the month of April-June. The document showed some 56,396 candidates had appeared in the exam, and of them about 41,456 were declared pass with the pass percentage of 73.51.

Maha Zainab of Army Public School and College for Girls, Muktan Cantt, from Pre-Medical Group bagged overall first position in the board by securing 1,047 marks out of 1,100. The second position in the board from the same group was shared by Ujala Abdul Rashid of PAEC Model College, Nilore, Islamabad, and Seerat-e-Fatimah of Punjab College, Nazimuddin Road, F-8/4, Islamabad, with 1031 marks. Third position went to Ayesha Nasrullah of the same Punjab College, F-8/4 Islamabad.

In Pre-Engineering Group, Abdullah Ashfaq of OPF Boys College, H-8/4, Islamabad and Fasiha Binat Zafar of Punjab College of Information Technology for Women, Sargodha, obtained first position with 1023 marks. Second position was also shared by two students Syed Muhammad Kumail of Army Public School and College for Boys, Rawalpindi Cantt., and Muhammad Umer Farooq of PAEC Model College for Boys, Mianwali with 1022 marks in the group. Uzair Ahmad of Army Public College, Attock Cantt., got third position securing 1019 marks. In General Science Group, Fatima Farooq Murawat and Sahar Humayun of Bahria College, Naval Complex, E-8, Islamabad, bagged first and third position with 978 and 956 marks respectively while Mehwish Siddique of Punjab College, 92, F-8/4, Islamabad, got second position with 958 marks. Sumiya Khurshid Awan of Punjab College F-8/4, Islamabad, secured 956 marks and clinched first position in Commerce Group while Rishi Kiynat of Indus College of Commerce, Wah Cantt., and Barka Saleem of Punjab College of Commerce, Rawalpindi Cantt., bagged second and third position with 948 and 944 marks respectively.

In Humanities Group, Haleema Riaz of Islamabad Model College for Girls (Post Graduate), F-7/2 got first position with 951 marks, while second and third positions went to Haseeba Noureen of Wise School and College for Girls, Wah Cantt., and Mukarrama Hamid of Pakistan International School, Jeddah (KSA), who secured 940 and 921 marks respectively. It was announced that HSSC supplementary examination 2015, would commence from November 3, 2105.
