KARACHI -PPP Central Leader and Senator, Gul Mohammed Lot has said that consensus of all the four provinces on NFC award has been the result of reconciliatory policy of Shaheed Mohatarma Benazir Bhutto and her vision. In a statement issued here on Sunday, the Senator said that present government, while exhibiting the spirit of reconciliation, played an important role in bringing the centre and provinces closer. He said the Centre, while acceding to the demands of Sindh, Balochistan and NWFP agreed to give higher share from its resources and assented to give special treatment to Balochistan keeping its poverty level and area into view. Senator Gul Mohammed appreciated the Punjab province for its sacrifice by deviating from its old stand of getting award on population basis and as a result the smaller provinces are paying their full tribute to the provinces leadership for showing its greatness. He said President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen besides Chief Ministers of four provinces and their people deserve every felicitation. The senator said that with the 7th NFC Award, a new chapter of relationship between Centre and Provinces is started whereby they would work for the greater glory and cohesion of the country and face the serious challenges together besides solving the basic problems of people. This has been the dream of our Shaheed Quaid Benazir Bhutto and her mission, he said and added that under the dynamic leadership of President Asif Zardari this dream is now coming true. Arbab lauds consensus on NFC Award President Muslim League-Quaid (Humkhayal Group) Sindh chapter and former chief minister Sindh Dr Arbab Ghulam Raheem has lauded the efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for creating unanimity and consensus on NFC Award. This, he said, while talking to chief organizer of PML-Q (HK) Senator Abdul Ghaffar Qureshi on telephone, said a press release issued here on Sunday. Arbab Rahim said that federation would go stronger with stability of federating units. He also admired the federal government for its role to create consensus on NFC Award, adding it is a step towards provincial autonomy.
