ISLAMABAD (Agencies) Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said Pakistan was not involved in Mumbai terror attacks, however Islamabad has substantial evidence to prove New Delhis hand in terror activities inside the country. In an interview with an Arab television Sunday, Qureshi said the international community also supports the stance that Pakistan was not involved in Mumbai attacks. Now, it has been admitted worldwide that Pakistan was above question with regard to the Mumbai terror incident, Qureshi said. He reiterated that Islamabad has substantial evidence to prove New Delhis hand in terror activities inside the country. We have got concrete evidences regarding Indian involvement in terror activities in Pakistan, he said. The Foreign Minister said Mumbai attacks were plotted by elements who wanted to sabotage Pak-India peaceful relations. Economic progress is vital to counter extremism in the region, he added. Qureshi urged the international community to make India realise that there is no other option than dialogue to establish peace in the region. Regarding new US strategy on Afghanistan, he said there is no doubt about its impact on Pakistan. Pakistan has already asked US for more details and clarity on her new plan, he said adding that the recently concluded visit to Pakistan of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has certainly helped strengthen Pak-US ties and atmosphere of trust. When asked about US General David Petraeus comment that Pakistan needs to put pressure on the leadership of Afghan Taliban operating inside its borders if long-term progress is to be made in Afghanistan, Qureshi, said: We have put in a lot of pressure. And we intend to continue to do that. Just look at the operation in South Waziristan, he said. Something like 600 Taliban people and miscreants were eliminated in this push. For us, a terrorist is a terrorist, whether he operates on this side of the border or that side of the border, he said.
