KARACHI - The Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) has taken out a peace rally Pakistan Zindabad from mausoleum of father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, which was ended at Karachi Press Club (KPC) here on Sunday. Hundreds of PML-Q workers on motorcycles, cars, minibuses participated in the rally and chanted slogans in the favour of their party. PML-Q Sindh General Secretary Haleem Adil Sheikh while addressing the rally at KPC, said that his party was the real opposition in the country which was highlighting the real public issues and grievances of the poor masses. He said that those rising the slogan of Pakistan Khapay remembered that in 1940 poet of the East Dr Allama Iqbal had already given the slogan of Pakistan Khapay for the entire Muslim nation of subcontinent and on the behalf of this slogan father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had established Pakistan in 1947, now there is need to strengthen the country. He alleged that PML-N was not the opposition in the centre instead of they were allies of the ruling party and its Chief Nawaz Sharif only wanted to abolish the 17th amendment to pave his way for third time premiership. He blamed that the PML-N was doing politics to come to the power again and that it had nothing to do with the masses problems. They did not talk about the basic problems of the masses as the common citizens of this country deprived of sugar, flour, employment, people facing power crisis, law and order situation and various other miseries. Haleem Adil Sheikh said that the PML-Q was united in Sindh and working for the betterment of the masses. He further said that purpose behind of this rally to express and demonstrate solidarity with the terrorism effected people across the country and show support for the armed forces in its operation against terrorism and extremism. Speaking on the occasion, PML-Q Sindh Womens Wing President Afshan Mansoor said that people were comparing the performance of previous PML-Q and the present PPP government and statistics of the economy clearly showed the difference of both governments.
