LAHORE - On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister, Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti inquired after Farah Hussain, wife of an overseas Pakistani Sajad Hussain residing in Oman, at Mayo Hospital who became victim of acid attack.

CM’s adviser on health Khawaja Salman Rafique, DIG Capt (retd) Mubeen, DIG Haider Ashraf, SSP Investigation Ayyaz Saleem and MS Mayo Hospital also accompanied him.

Afzaal Bhatti inquired about the health of Farah Hussain and took briefing from doctors about the patient. He directed the hospital administration to provide all possible treatment facilities to the victim.

Recently, unknown people threw acid on Farah Hussain in Nawankot area of Lahore, and fled away. The woman was shifted to Mayo Hospital in serious condition. The Nawankot Police registered a case under Terrorism Act against unknown persons and launched its investigation.
