SARGODHA - At least five criminals were rounded up following a shoot out here near Village 174/NB in the remit of Shah Nikdar Police on Monday. The police also seized illicit weapons from the criminals. According to the police sources, the Sargodha Cantt and City police carried out a joint raid in the village to arrest the criminals involved in heinous crimes. As soon as the police besieged a house, the culprits opened indiscriminate firing at them. The police in retaliated the fire and the shoot out continued for some time, resulting in the arrest of five accused along with firearms. The police sources told that accused Sattar Ali had been a proclaimed offender in four murder cases, Ejaz, a resident of district Jhang was also a PO in a murder case, Muhammad Ramzan was wanted to police in robberies while Umair of Karachi was wanted to FIA and Khurram Panah had ben involved in various other crimes. The sources also said that a M-16 rifle, 2 Kalashnikovs, a 44-bore rifle, one 30-bore pistol and over 200 bullets were recovered from their possession. CATTLE HEADS LOOTED: Armed dacoits made off with cattle heads here the other day. A local landlord Qamar Abbas, a resident of Village Dodah told that six armed bandits entered his house. The culprits tied him with ropes and took away his cattle heads. The police registered a case. Three charged with attacking bailiff: The police have charged three accused including two women on charges of attacking a court bailiff. Bailiff Muhammad Riaz of civil court Bhalwal submitted an application to the police, accusing Nasarullah, Sajjida and Bushra violated court orders and manhandled him when he approached them to comply with court orders.
