OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORETheNation Editor-in-Chief and Nazria Pakistan Trust Chairman Majid Nizami while addressing a sitting held in connection with 112th birth anniversary of Pakistan Movement Leader Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar has said that the political parties can make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state by following the way adopted by the Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other Pakistan Movement dignitaries. The sitting at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan was jointly organised by the NPT and Pakistan Movement Workers Trust on Monday. The grandson of Sardar Nishtar, Muhammad Ghalib Nishtar, NPT Vice-chairman Prof Dr Rafiq Ahmad, Pakistan Movement Worker Syed Ahmad Saeed Kirmani and Prof Dr M. A. Sufi also addressed on the occasion and paid glowing tribute to the Sardars heroic services during Pakistan Movement. They applauded the contribution made by Sardar Abdur Rab Nashtar for the creation of Pakistan. Students and a good number of people from various walks of life attended the event. Majid Nizami told the gathering that he had close relation with the Nishtar family. He added that the Sardars son Jamil Nistar had acquaintance with him. Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar was the governor of Punjab and the then I was the student, I often saw Jamil Nishtar going to FC College by a cycle. The NPT Chairman criticising the current rulers protocols and squads, said that as a governor, Nishtar used to walk at the Mall without any security. Today, contrary to that, sons of the ministers and the advisors have squads to guard them, he added. Today the political parties had been strangling with one another and the bureaucracy lacked good attitude, he flayed. Majid Nizami said the leaders like Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar were the need of the hour. Ghalib Nashtar besides applauding the holy job being done by the NPT to highlighting the thoughts of the Pakistan movement leaders and workers said that the chief purpose of late Sardar Abdul Rab Nashtars life was to strengthen Pakistan. He also stressed upon the need of guidance to the new generation. Aiwan visited: The students of Government Islamia High School Samanabad and City District Government Islamia High School Atokay Awan on a study tour on Monday visited Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan and attended the 112th birth anniversary ceremony of Sardar Abdur Rab Nishtar. Mobile Ideological Units led by their coordinators visited Age System International College Garhi Shahoo, Farani Public High School Ghaziabad, Bright Future Model Middle School Jamropur and Government Girls Middle School Kamahan. The teachers, Prof Sajid, Muhammad Tufail, Muhammad Ali and Mrs Musharraf Bokhari presided over the ceremonies. The students were awarded prizes in quiz competitions besides the schools were gifted with books.
