ISLAMABAD - The non-medical staff of the Pakistan Institution of Medical Sciences (Pims) staged a protest demonstration against the hospital administration for not allowing them to convey their demands to the Prime Minister who is due to arrive at hospital to inaugurate dental hospital Tuesday (today). According to the employees they had displayed banners in hospital premises inscribed with their demands of increased salaries and better service structure like medical staff to apprise the Prime Minster about their issues but the Joint Executive Director of PIMS Jehanzeb Aurakzai called security officers and got them removed. They regretted that they even dont have the right to protest silently. We did not want to protest but after seeing the attitude of the hospital administration we have decided to resort to protest. The non-medical employees of grade 1 to 16 said they had decided to continue their protest throughout the day.
