ISLAMABAD - The ruling PPP and its former coalition partner MQM have revived their contacts after Altaf Hussain sent bouquet of flowers to President Asif Zardari currently in London for medical check-up. Sources privy to this development told TheNation on Tuesday that both the leaders also exchanged ideas through intermediaries over MQM plans to rejoin the coalition. The sources were of the view that Altafs gesture ostensibly served two political ends - a) it tried to repair relations damaged as a result of allegations levelled by Dr Zulfikar Mirza, and b) to help expedite process of rejoining.
