OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - The General Manager Punjab Irrigation & Drainage Authority (PIDA) Faiz Mohyuddin has advised the Farmer Organization representatives to ensure effective patrolling along canals and distributaries so that the menace of water theft can be totally curtailed besides ensuring availability of water at tail ends. This was stated by him while presiding over a departmental meeting at his office today. The meeting was also attended by Deputy GM (Training) Shaiq Hussain Abedi, Deputy GM (Ops.) Mian Javaid, Deputy GM (TM) Ghulam Safdar Shah and others. Faiz Mohyuddin said that government has strengthened the concept of public private partnership by ensuring the farmers participation which has helped to improve the irrigation infrastructure in the province.
