ISLAMABAD - The Supreme Court will announce the reserved judgement in suo moto case regarding cutting of trees for widening of canal project, Lahore, tomorrow (Thursday). A two-member bench headed by Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and comprising Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case. The judgement was reserved on August 15 last and Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani, the author judge, will announce the verdict. Khadim Husain Qaiser, Additional Advocate General Punjab, Salman Aslam Butt (ASC for LDA) and Mehr Khan Malik, AOR, appeared on court notice while Dr. Parvez Hassan, appeared as a court mediator. Further, Imrana Tawana, Convener Lahore Bachao Tehrik (Save Lahore Movement) and Iram Aftab appeared for Lahore Bachao Tehrik (LBT). Ali Hassan, Naumana Amjad, Assistant Professor of Psychology, Punjab University, Kamil Khan Mumtaz, architect in person and Saima Ameen Khawaja in person appeared for WWF Pakistan. Lt Col (Retd) Ijaz Nazim and Alexander Uvidine appeared for NGO Shajar Dost.
