KARACHI - Prolonged suspension of electricity claimed lives of four patients at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) on Tuesday. Since the citys largest health centre was without electricity from Monday evening, eight-year-old Noman, Jaffar Ali, Saqib and Haji Muhammad, 60, who had been put on ventilator in the intensive care unit (ICU), expired Tuesday when generators also ran out of fuel. JPMC sources complain that the prolonged power suspension had made patients lives miserable.
