Lahore: Petition seeking cut in electricity tariff has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) today. The plea is filed by the chairman of Judicial Activism Panel.

The petitioner states that despite reduction in petroleum products’ prices, power tariff was not revised.

He further criticized government stating that cut in petroleum products’ price in international market has not been transferred into a benefit for the people.

Ministry for Water and Power and National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has been made parties in the petition.
