Four people from the Hazara community were killed on Masjid Road as a result of a firing incident here in Quetta on Monday.

According to rescue sources, unknown gunmen opened fire on a car. The attackers managed to flee from the area.

Following the attack, police cordoned off the area and have launched an investigation.

The Balochistan Shia Conference has condemned the attack and announced a day of mourning on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Hazara Democratic Party has announced a shutter down strike in Quetta.

Meanwhile, expressing shock and grief Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the tragic incident of firing in Quetta which resulted into the loss of precious human lives and injured many.

The Prime Minister prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the departed souls with eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude. He also prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the incident.
