Indian media have carried a report stating that a former home ministry officer has alleged that a member of the CBI-SIT team had accused incumbent governments of orchestrating the terror attack on Indian Parliament and the 26/11 carnage in Mumbai. R.V.S. Mani, who as home ministry under-secretary signed the affidavits submitted in court in the alleged encounter case, has said that “Satish Verma, until recently a part of the CBI-SIT probe team, told him that both the terror attacks were set up with the objective of strengthening the counter-terror legislation”.

However, they missed the point i.e. such false flag operations, among other things, were also intended to malign Pakistan. In fact, because of India’s false flag operations, Indian and Pakistani forces at least twice stood eyeball to eyeball on the borders. But after it realised that Pakistan cannot be cowed down by such shenanigans and ruses, it withdrew its forces from the frontlines. But India continues with the litany that Pakistan should crack down on militants blamed for the Mumbai attacks the New Delhi said came from across the border.

Then Indian Defence Minister AK Antony had said that more than two dozen terror groups were operating from Pakistan with impunity. Indian leadership’s statements were not understandable because Pakistan had already banned Jamaat-ud-Dawa in response to the United Nations Security Council’s resolution and had undertaken to bring the perpetrators to book on receiving evidence, which has not been provided despite Pakistan’s repeated reminders. On the other hand, Indian agents seem to have created fake jihadi organisations to carry out false flag operations. One does not know which organisation Ajmal Kassab belonged to, as he never admitted his affiliation with either Pakistani state or any non-state actor. In India, the government, its functionaries and media are always on one page, and it is very rare that information like the one revealed by Indian official Verma comes to light. In Pakistan, on the other hand, media starts believing Indian and international media for any act of terrorism in India or elsewhere.

After Mumbai attacks, there was mad race between Pakistani channels, as their reporters have been frequenting the hometown of Ajmal Kassab even before India media had created hype. One does not know the organisation Ajmal Kassab belonged to, as India had later started accusing Lashkar-e-Taiba for carrying out bomb attacks on 26/11. If Pakistani media wants to improve its image and make a mark, it should investigate how India infiltrates in jihadi organisations, and how its agents create organisations to perpetrate terrorists’ acts and then blame Pakistan. False flag terrorism occurs when elements within a government stage a secret operation whereby government forces pretend to be a targeted enemy while attacking their own forces or people.

The attack is then falsely blamed on the enemy in order to justify going to war against that enemy. India seems to have learned from the US and other countries that have been resorting to false flag operations.

The reason for invading Afghanistan by the US was ascribed to Al Qaeda, which reportedly had planned 9/11 terrorist attacks. But it was proved beyond doubt that all those involved had been living in the western countries.

They all had studied in western universities and they had got training in American aviation academies. Since the planning was done in Germany, the German and American authorities should have been questioned, and not Afghanistan and Pakistan that their opinion-makers, movers and shakers have been blaming conveniently. US State Department’s Coordinator for Counterterrorism Daniel Benjamin had once told a briefing to the experts in Washington that the planning for the attempted December 25th bombing of a US commercial airliner was made in the Arabian Peninsula, adding that now US citizens were occupying prominent positions in terrorist organisations.

In other words, counter-insurgency expert had acknowledged that it was not Pakistan but there were other places where planning for terrorist acts was done. Having that said, India today once again stands exposed by the affidavit of the Indian official.
