ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party member National Assembly Imran Zafar Laghari has said that Nawaz government has pushed country into international isolation.

Talking to a group of journalists at PPP Media Office in Islamabad Imran Zafar Laghari said former President Asif Ali Zardari had introduced a policy of reconciliation and tolerance in country.

He had given country a balanced foreign policy, food security, prosperity and had strengthened parliament and all other government and state institution but unfortunately Nawaz government brought Pakistan to this stage of alienation.

Asif Ali Zardari had signed Pakistan-Iran pipeline deal but the project was put in the backburner by Nawaz government. Foreign policy is in tatters and Pakistan has become politically destabilized.

He said that there was not a single political prisoner in country during five years of PPP rule from 2008 to 2013. No one can claim that he or she was victimized during previous government. He said that extremists were continuously conspiring against PPP government and judicial activism was at its peak.

These political adversaries in the name of judicial activism tried PPP government to stop from functioning through suo-moto notices. He said Nawaz Sharif and his coterie is still following the policies of his political mentor Dictator General Ziaul Haq.
