SHANGLA - At least six persons died after a motor car fell into a ravine near Chakai area of district Kohistan on Saturday morning.

According to details, a car carrying six persons was coming from Pattan Kohistan to Bisham fell into a deep ravine on Karakuram Highway when driver of the vehicle lost control over steering due to over-speeding near Chakai area.

Resultantly, four persons died on the spot while two others succumbed to injuries later at nearby Rural Health Center Pattan.

Those who lost their lives were identified as Mujtaba, Wakil, Mohammad Nabi, Javed from Pattan village, while Ihsanullah and Rahim Dad were the dwellers of Chawa Dara. Later the dead bodies were shifted to their hometowns and buried at their ancestral graveyard.

Police and eyewitnesses said that it has been reported that this ill-fated incident happened because of over-speeding.
