Haier Pakistan CEO ‘businessman of the year’

LAHORE (PR): Javed Afridi, CEO Haier Pakistan and Ruba Pakistan Pvt Ltd, was honored with President’s ‘Businessman of the year’ gold medal at Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (LCCI) 9th Achievement Awards ceremony. President Mamnoon Hussain, and Shaikh Muhammad Arshad, President LCCI, handed over the achievement awards to some of Pakistan’s most distinguished entrepreneurs.

Speaking on the occasion, a jubilant Javed Afridi stated, “I feel honored to have my work recognized by the members of LCCI. The continuous support and co-operation extended by the government and the chamber body to local entrepreneurs has enabled a thriving business environment in the country. This award doubles my resolve to continue investing in infrastructure and human resource development in a bid to provide benefits to the masses.”

Apart from Javed Afridi, the 9th LCCI Achievement Award saw a handful of other leading entrepreneurs of Pakistan being conferred with the President’s Businessman of the Year Gold medal as well.

 

 

PU ranked second in natural sciences research

LAHORE (PR): The Nature Publishing Group, a world-class publisher of high impact scientific and medical information in print and online, has issued its ranking of Pakistani universities in terms of research publications in the field of natural sciences and has ranked Punjab University second best university in Pakistan in the field.
