QUETTA - Baloch Republican Party spokesman’s son, Haq Nawaz Bugti was killed in a battle with security personnel in Nushki district, some 148 kilometers from here, on Wednesday.

According to BRP sources, during a fierce battle with security forces, Haq Nawaz Bugti was killed in Nushki district.

Spokesman of defunct Baloch Republican Army (BRA) calling media offices from unspecified location claimed that Haq Nawaz Bugti was killed in a clash with security personnel in Nushki district. He further claimed that Baloch fighters also caused heavy and losses and damages to security personnel.

Talking to media persons, District Police Office Nazar Jan denied any such reports, stating such rumours were flying, however, there was no such report.

Deputy Commissioner Nushki Muhammad Jan also rejected occurrence of such incident in Nushki district. If there were any incident he would have known, he added.

Haq Nawaz Bugti was son of Sher Muhammad Bugti spokesman of Baloch Republican Party.

When this reporter contacted Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan’s spokesman he also denied any battle with Baloch fighters in Nushki district.

BRP has announced 40-day mourning against the incident and holding of protest rallies throughout Balochistan on Nov 15th. It also announced shutter down and wheel-jam strike on Nov 16th throughout Balochistan.
