OKARA - Seven dacoits looted guests of a wedding and fled away with cash, jewellery and mobile phones worth hundreds of thousands of rupees near Jhedu.

As per details, a marriage procession in Mungan Village went to District Nankana. The other day, when the marriage procession was returning to Mungan Village, the dacoits intercepted their vehicles and looted them.

Likewise, in another hit, seven armed men while looting at a road picket deprived Baratis including bride and groom of cash and gold ornaments and mobiles phones. They also thrashed some of them for offering resistance.

Later, the victims protested and demanded the arrest of the looters and recovery of booty from them. Police have registered a case.
