LAHORE - Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has given approval to another project of Ashiyana Housing Scheme, comprising thousands of houses for low-income shelter-less people of the province.

Presiding over a meeting on Friday, the chief minister affirmed that houses would be given to low-income families on soft terms. He said that thousands of people would have a safe shelter under the project, adding that school, college, hospital and other necessary facilities would also be provided in the housing schemes.

“Ashiyana is the most important welfare project in the history of the country,” the chief minister claimed.

He said that best locations had been selected for the housing scheme, so that its residents could live in a peaceful and respectable manner.

Shahbaz Sharif said that his government was starting the new project for realising the dream of thousands of low income persons to have their own houses.

The DG LDA briefed the chief minister regarding construction of houses for low-income families where he said that the project would soon be started.
