Islamabad - Allottees of sector E-12 have voiced strong protest against non-initiation of development work in the sector by Capital Development Authority (CDA) despite lapse of 25 years.

This sector was launched 25 years ago but the CDA is paying no heed to the voice of allottees for launching development work. A few days back CDA by putting into work some bulldozers of MPO in the sector had claimed that construction of roads has been started. But this work was stopped.

The CDA awarded contract for construction of roads last year but the contractor has not deposited bank guarantee so far as per agreement. The CDA has issued notice to the contractor after lapse of one year that he should deposit bank guarantee; otherwise, his contract would be cancelled.

The CDA had started taking possession of land from affectees but deputy director land and rehabilitation Amir Shahzad was transferred. This led to affect the talks process and the resistance is coming from the affectees because of non-resolution of their problems.

Most of the allottees have been retired from service and they are still without shelter because of non-initiation of development work in this sector.
